We provide a range of business support for existing and start up businesses.  Since 2011 alone the Training for Business Excellence programme has supported over 111 North Devon businesses and 204 individuals.

The Training for Business Excellence programme offers a range of courses to help grow and develop your small business or help those considering starting a business. It has been funded by the Leader4 programme with places subsidised for eligible micro businesses (less than 10 full time employees) within the Local Action Group area which covers North Devon and Torridge, but excludes the six central wards that make up Barnstaple town (Pilton, Yeo Valley, Forches & Whiddon Valley, Newport, Longbridge and Central Town). Other businesses are welcome to attend the courses subject to availability, but will be charged at the full cost.

A stand alone session with an accredited business advisor plus post meeting suport as agreed. The session will allow you to discuss your individual business ideas in private and ask any questions you may have. The session offers support for your first steps in self employment.

YouTube Your Business

Did you know that since its inception 2005, YouTube has shown phenomenal growth and is now one of the most used search engines on the internet? Is your business accessing this potential?

During the workshop, learn why you should use YouTube to promote your business. Then have fun creating a simple, engaging and effective video. Having created your video, we look at how to upload it to YouTube, in a way that creates maximum impact for your business. Finally learn how to share your video, to create channels, improve the effectiveness of your other digital marketing activity, particularly increasing traffic to your website. Bring your smart phone, digital camera or video device to the session.
