Supporting the Food & Drink Sector

North Devon+ has identified the Food & Drink sector as a key priority for economic growth. Funding from Leader4 has enabled North Devon+ to establish a Food & Drink Network for the area. This work aims to:

• Increase the sales of North Devon produce
• Provide information and assistance to the food & drink sector, including training
• Connect the producers to supply chain opportunities within the hospitality and retail arena
• Promote and market North Devon produce and signature dishes throughout the locality, county and nationwide

Over the last few years, North Devon+ has researched the local food and drink market and can provide business support for this sector. Information on consumer behaviour, buying trends, product development, event management, food labelling, marketing and promotional tips are available from our team who have extensive experience. North Devon+ also manages the annual ‘North Devon FoodFest' held in October, and administers the publically nominated ‘Food and Drink Awards' for our area.
